Last spring, MaxGrip presented its newly developed interface between Maximo and Optimizer+ at IBM Pulse in Las Vegas. It is a web service-based interface, allowing both software packages to communicate directly with each other.

AkzoNobel's salt solution-mining process in Zuidwending has been modified. The reason: a collaboration with VOF Aardgasbuffer, the company that will make new drillings suitable for storing natural gas. In the new process, the bore-hole pumps regularly fail. What is the most efficient way of tackling this problem? With MaxGrip's assistance, Akzo Nobel worked out four scenarios.

AkzoNobel decided to upgrade maintenance at its energy supply plant (EVB: ‘Energievoorzieningenbedrijf') in Rotterdam last year. A new maintenance engineering department was formed. Furthermore, MaxGrip was asked to assist with a pilot project that focused on risk analysis-based maintenance. Now that the pilot project has been successfully completed, the other plant at EVB is to undergo the same treatment.
