FMECA
The FMECA method is frequently used to carry out risk analysis in organisations where maintenance management plays an important role. Users of Optimizer+ can utilise the FMECA method in accordance with the steps illustrated in the diagram below.
FMECA is an acronym for Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis, i.e. the mechanism of failure, its effects, and a quantitative analysis of the risk involved.
The goal of FMECA is to identify the risks that play a role in the production process. Risk can be reduced by implementing technical improvements and/or by modifying the maintenance concept. In particular, one can eliminate risks by carrying out maintenance.
In Optimizer+, a FMECA system is a schematic representation of an installation or facility. Within this module, the user can build and configure a specific system in order to generate scenarios and calculate their effects in the Simulation module.
